This Fairfield homeowner had an uninviting and damp basement, which prevented her from utilizing the area. She wanted a waterproofed basement that would also be pleasant to use and look at. After researching all of her options, she decided to give Connecticut Basement Systems a call!
Our Design Specialist, Mick Foster, arrived to give a free home evaluation. He concluded that BrightWall Panels and ThermalDry Tiles would be the best option to prevent a wet basement as well as giving the area a fresh and clean look. With the approval of the homeowner, Sid Avis and his production team quickly went to work installing the products.
The BrightWall Panels have concealed PVC drain lines that captures water before it reaches the inside of the basement, leading the water to a sump pump. The white panels give the basement a fresh and clean look!
All ThermalDry Basement Floor Tiles come equipped with pegs that raise the tiles from the basement floor, creating a thermal barrier that makes them 8-10 degrees warmer than tiles bonded directly to the floor. This product also protects your basement from the humidity seeping through concrete, keeping a basement comfortable and dry. Not only are these two products a great waterproof solution, but they instantly transform any basement to beautiful!
The after picture shows a transformation of the basement’s walls, floors, and stairs! The homeowner is now happy with her upgraded, waterproof basement and can now use the open space comfortably!
This cluttered basement needed help, and Connecticut Basement Systems came to the rescue. A leakage problem was destroying the floor tiles and causing them to lift up. The water was also causing damage to the wall panels and doors. The owners wanted to fix all the issues so they could use this wide-open space for family time.
Thanks to Chavon and his crew, this basement was turned into a wonderfully open and clean space. To fix the damaged areas, ThermalDry flooring was installed in the lovely color Sandstone chosen by the owners. Along with the upgrades, EverLast Walls and new doors were installed which gave a new, clean look to the damaged areas and prevents future damages.
The homeowners were pleased with this job well done. Added to the space under the stair was a little nook area, perfect for owners’ grandchildren to play while the family enjoys the rest of the new space.
Thanks to our salesman Doug for going out and being able to get before and after shots so we are able to see this spectacular transformation!
A homeowner in Litchfield, CT was looking to have their basement finished and called our Total Basement Finishing Team of Connecticut Basement Systems to have us create the basement they've been looking for! After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Tim Kane, met with the homeowner to come up with a plan and design the basement they want with the types of products we provide. Then that design comes back to one of our Project Managers, Dan Medina, so he can approve it and get one of our crews on the job.
One of our Foremen, Joseph Klaben, and his crew would work on this finishing project. He installed our EverLast Perimeter wall system that is insulated, keeping the basement temperature regulated. He installed new doors and linen ceilings. For flooring, he installed carpeted ThermalDry flooring, which will keep this floor up to 10% warmer. With some finishing touches, this basement turned out beautiful and can now be used as a great space. The homeowner already put back their pool table. What a fun space this will be for the homeowner!

Before, the window well on the side of this home was an eyesore for these Trumbull, CT homeowners. The flimsy plastic cover had bent and warped over time, letting in a mess of water, leaves, and weeds. This caused the metal window well to grow dirty and rusty, and reduced the amount of natural light that could enter the basement.
Now, the window well sits subtly on the side of the house, free of dirt, mud and other debris. To transform this aspect of the home, our skilled foreman, Marcial Lopez, replaced the homeowners’ traditional metal window well with our SunHouse Basement Window Enclosure. SunHouse enclosures feature a durable plastic cover to keep outside forces away from your basement windows, ensuring a more pleasant view from both inside and outside the home. Unlike other window well designs, the SunHouse enclosure has a light-colored bottom, which allows more sunlight to bounce into the basement, maximizing natural light in the homeowner’s below-ground living space.
Although this was just one piece of a larger home improvement project, the homeowners took notice of their window well transformation, and now enjoy the many positive impacts that this SunHouse Enclosure has made on their home.
