FlexiSpan in Southington, CT

This Southington home had a crack in its basement wall that was seeping water which caused the homeowner to become concerned. Wanting a permanent solution to this problem, she decided to contact the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems.

The solution for this wall crack was to install FlexiSpan. Unlike hydraulic cements and epoxies, the special polyurethane polymer sealant used for this system will never dry our or re-crack due to the natural movement of the foundation wall over long periods of time. After installing the entire system, the wall crack was permanently sealed and the homeowner was relieved that she did not have a leaky wall crack in her basement!

Footing Extension and Sill Replacement in Plainville, CT

A homeowner in Plainville had rotting sills in their basement and needed a footing extension to stabilize the home. One of our Sales Consultants, Brian DiRisi, went out to the home to assess the issues and provide them with a proper solution that our Foundation team would tackle.

One of our Foremen, Sergio Alves, and Jacob Scott, would install this job. They cut into the walls to be able to see the footings. They removed what was rotting and added cinder blocks as the extension. Then they added a new sill as a replacement for the rotting wood. Now this home has stable footings and sills, so the homeowner no longer needs to worry about their footings falling apart.

Push Pier Installed in Meriden home

This house was suffering from settling foundation. Our solution to this problem is the use of our push pier system. This system allows us to go deep down through heavy duty steel foundation bracket to lift your home back to a level position.

Foundation Push Piers in Meriden, CT

A homeowner in Meriden, CT had a foundation that was cracked and settling, making the basement of the home very uneven. They called our Foundation Supportworks team at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a way to fix their big problems. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Gus Stozinic, drove to the home to visualize and understand the issues. He knew this would be a job for our Foreman Sergio Alves and Jacob Scott.

Eventually, it would be time to start the work. In order to install the push piers, a trench needed to be dug in the back of the house alongside the foundation. Once that was done, it would be time to begin push pier installation. These go below the footing of the foundation and are then steel pier sections that are hydraulically driven into the ground until they reach stable soil. Then the team would raise the foundation to ensure the house is no longer sagging and the cracks come together, but this is done slowly and carefully. Once the homeowner and Sergio were satisfied with the stabilization, the cracks were sealed on the outside and finally, it was time to backfill with soil. On the inside, the cracks were closed up, but sealed and waterproofed, and then CarbonArmor strips to strengthen and help stabilize the wall. Overall, this was a very large project, but the homeowner was very happy with the results, seeing her foundation was in great shape!

Foundation SmartJacks in Higganum, CT

A homeowner in Higganum, CT had floors in their home that were not stable. They called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to have our foundation supportworks team come out and solve their problems. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Matt Kraus, went out to the home to assess the issues. He informed the homeowner that our team would need to install SmartJacks in the crawl space in order to stabilize the floors.

Then it was time for one of our Foremen, Sergio Alves, and Jacob Scott to do the installation. First, they installed the supplemental beams and then dug into the ground to fit in each SmarJack footing. Then they fully installed 9 SmartJacks, spacing them out under the beams. Once these were tight in place, the floor would become stabilized and there would be no sagging. This homeowner is happy with the results knowing their house is going to stay stable.
