This Durham crawlspace clearly had a lot of issues before we arrived to transform this space. The traditional fiber glass insulation was falling apart, there was a dirt floor that made the area look unwelcoming, and there was air and moisture entering the crawl space. The homeowners wanted to upgrade their crawl space to have it be more welcoming and efficient so they would not have to worry about any consequences that happen with a poorly maintained crawl space. They decided to set an appointment with Connecticut Basement Systems who are the experts in crawl space repairs.
Doug Wheeler was the Sales Representative who arrived at the home to give a free home evaluation. He concluded that CleanSpace Liner paired with a SaniDry Sedona would be the perfect solution for these Durham homeowners. After explaining the benefits of each product and having the homeowners understand how these products will improve their home’s efficiency, they quickly scheduled for a production date.
Garfield Sanderson and his production team installed the products efficiently and professionally. The CleanSpace Liner acts as a moisture barrier to prevent any unwanted air or water from entering the crawl space. Wrapping the piers would also be beneficial to the crawlspace, as seen in the after photo. The SaniDry Sedona will keep the humidity low in the crawl space which will prevent any mold growth.
The crawlspace is now a much healthier environment and the homeowners were impressed with the crawlspace transformation. The homeowners were very pleased with the work that was done by Connecticut Basement Systems.

Before we arrived at this Enfield crawlspace, there was no insulation preventing air and moisture from entering the space. The homeowners were unhappy with the comfort level of the home, experiencing drafts and moisture in the crawlspace. They wanted a solution to solve their insulation problem and decided to give Connecticut Basement Systems a call for a free estimate!
The solution for this Enfield crawlspace was to add rim joist insulation. Marcio Bahiense and his production team installed the spray foam insulation to the rim joists professionally and efficiently. The benefit to having the rim joists insulated with spray foam is that it acts as an effective barrier, protecting against air leakage and moisture. It also has superior R-value (R-6.2 to be exact), meaning that your home will be better insulated compared to traditional batt insulation. Lastly, this product is waterproof and has the ability to completely cover any area.
The homeowners were overjoyed with the results of their newly insulated crawlspace. They noticed that their home was better insulated, especially the floors now that the crawlspace was running efficiently!
