This homeowner in Rocky Hill, CT was experiencing water issues in their crawlspace. They decided it was time to call Connecticut Basement Systems. Our Sales Consultant Don Godbout went out to the home to estimate their issues. Then our foreman Marcial Lopez and his crew went to install our products. Our CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation was installed. This will help protect and prevent any water vapor and moisture from coming into the space. Before we went to this Guilford home, the crawlspace was cold, damp, and had a smelly odor. The homeowners were concerned and wanted a solution to make sure that their crawlspace was in tip top shape. They decided to give Connecticut Basement Systems a call.
A CleanSpace, WaterGuard, and SuperSump pump were installed by Garfield Sanderson and his production crew. The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier will help prevent moisture from entering the basement which will ultimately keep the area dry. The WaterGuard System will channel into the SuperSump pump and discharge it away from the home. There was also Spray Foam installed on the walls to completely air seal the crawlspace to ensure that no air flow will enter the crawlspace. The combination of all these products satisfied all of the homeowner’s needs where the crawlspace was dry and the odor decreased.

This Durham crawlspace clearly had a lot of issues before we arrived to transform this space. The traditional fiber glass insulation was falling apart, there was a dirt floor that made the area look unwelcoming, and there was air and moisture entering the crawl space. A homeowner in Cromwell, CT has a damp and musty crawlspace. They called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a solution. One of our Sales Consultants, Andrew Howard, went to the home to assess the issues and provide a permanent encapsulation solution.
One of our Foremen, Joe Schech, and his crew installed this job. They installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier throughout this entire crawlspace. It will protect the space from mold and moisture. The benefit to having the rim joists insulated with spray foam is that it acts as an effective barrier, protecting against air leakage and moisture. It also has superior R-value (R-6.2 to be exact), meaning that your home will be better insulated compared to traditional batt insulation. Lastly, this product is waterproof and has the ability to completely cover any area.
