We had lived in our house since 1975. We had put an addition on in ’93 and they scaled back the hillside to make more space around the house. That caused a runoff that ended up with water collecting in the front corner of our house during heavy rains, so we wanted to redo the basement. The carpenters from Basement Systems were all confident and easy to work with. We were really pleased with the outcome and with the people who worked here. Their work completely solved the issues that we had.

I moved into a place which was built in 1935 and they had put some wood down there but they hadn’t sealed the basement so it was in a pretty nasty condition when I moved in. I knew that I had to take care of it not only in terms of cleaning it up, but also handling the water itself, so I contacted Connecticut Basement Systems. I got a French drain inside the basement floor, some coverings on the walls to handle any other water that would be coming in through the wall and a little sump pump and a dehumidifier. All the work is very well done and it’s very nicely finished off. As part of that, they moved over a sink, some plumbing as well with my washer and dryer. The basement is now a livable space and it wasn’t before. I was very happy with that. The financing was all good, too. I got an interest-free loan for a year but I haven’t had any feedback from them or any form of a follow-up to see how everything is doing and they’ve been suspiciously quiet. There was also one thing that I wanted them to fix which was some electrical issues. It didn’t turn out to be theirs but it was a symptom that was caused by what had been done. It had ended up being a utility problem instead. Other than that, it’s all been good.

I had CT Basement put in my system two years ago. It was an expensive procedure but well worth the money as it has kept my basement dry! I still stress when we have HEAVY rains over a long period of time as we did last week! Unfortunately my street flooded which caused my sump pumps to work overtime and excessively hard! When the alarm on my system started blaring and the red light came on I panicked! I called my sales rep Jimmy Stablein at 12:30 am! He went on his computer to check out my system and reassured me all was fine and I would be alright! He went above and beyond and was very kind, especially since he was awakened so late at night! The alarm finally went off when the storm subsided and the next morning the red light turned green. You are to be commended for your excellent system as well as your hiring of valuable sales reps! Hopefully tonight’s storm will not be as damaging!

Bill Hause was professional and thorough! He cleaned out debris and pieces of asphalt ( from a recent new driveway installation). He was sure to clean out the entire track, sump pump and flush the system and made sure everything drained appropriately. He tested the system several times to be sure I would not have any problems! He cleaned up everything. He was pleasant and polite!

Scott was very thorough and was very professional and polite. He was also very patient and answered all of my questions.

Cisco and his team were amazing, they were quick, efficient, and polite. The job was finished in 1 afternoon and they left the job site clean. I also was impressed that they were respectful of my health issues and took steps to contain the dust. A big thank you on that one!

Steve Cogswell did an excellent job! He was prompt, professional, polite and quite knowledgeable! He made suggestions as to what items might be replaced and I will consider doing that in the future. I am very pleased with Connecticut Basement Systems and employees like Steve are a main reason.

The service was provided at my mother-in-law's house in Bethel and there were other parties and issues for him to deal with. He handled all providing great service.
