This East Hartland basement was dirty, let in a lot of moisture, and was an unhealthy environment. This was not what the homeowner had wanted and desired a basement that was clean and healthy. She did her research and decided to call Connecticut Basement Systems to help find her a solution.
The solution for this basement was to install a WaterGuard system, a CleanSpace liner, and a Sanidry Sedona. The WaterGuard system will collect water from any wall leaks before it even enters the basement and brings it to a sump pump that will properly discharge the water away from the area. A CleanSpace liner will prevent any moisture from seeping through the walls or floors. Lastly, the Sanidry Sedona will keep humidity low ensuring that air quality is at its best. With all of these products installed, the basement was completely transformed into a beautiful, clean environment. This is exactly what the homeowner wanted and was thrilled with the results.
Before we waterproofed this West Haven basement, the moisture seeping through the walls and flooring made the cement look terrible and threatened the value of the home. We installed a TripleSafe sump pump, our most reliable sump pump with 2 pumps and a backup battery in case of power outage. Additionally, we put CleanSpace on the walls, which stops any water vapor from getting into the space. Water used to flood this basement through the hatchway door, especially during heavy rainstorms. To prevent this, we installed the TrenchDrain grated drainage system. It is uniquely designed to span doorways, hatchway entrances, and similar entryway doors. Any water passing over the drain is collected through the openings and redirected to the sump pump. The homeowners don't have to worry about basement flooding anymore!
Before, this West Haven basement would get unwanted water seeping through the area. This greatly frustrated the homeowner because he used his basement as a place to relax and enjoy. To ensure that water would not enter the basement anymore, a WaterGuard system was installed paired with a TripleSafe sump pump system. The WaterGuard is a below the floor system that collects water internally and channeling it to the TripleSafe sump pump. From the TripleSafe, the water is discharged away from the home. A SaniDry Sedona was also installed to keep humidity low which will increase the quality of air. There was water damage on the walls that was attracting mold and was not appealing. To solve this problem, we installed a half wall restoration system to the walls, essentially removing the bottom water damaged wall and replacing with our EverLast paneling which will prevent mold. ThermalDry Charcoal Carpet was also installed to give the basement a finished look. The homeowner is now extremely satisfied with his dry and healthier basement!
