Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

A homeowner in Stratford, CT was getting water seepage through the walls in their basement. They called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a permanent solution. One of our Sales Consultants, Don Godbout, went to the home to assess the issues and propose a waterproofing system. 

One of our Foremen, Moises Chantes, and his crew installed this project. They installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the entire perimeter of the basement to collect water coming in. Then they installed our TripleSafe sump pump to take the collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. 

With these two systems in place, this basement will now stay dry all the time. 

This Stratford, CT homeowner used to have a basement with unfinished walls and floors, making for a cold and uncomfortable basement environment. As a result, the homeowner rarely used his basement, and wanted to finish it so that it could be used as additional living space. Before long, Sales Representative Matt Kraus traveled to the home to assess the basement. After taking a look around, Matt was able to come up with some potential finishing solutions, so he shared his findings with the homeowner, and they decided to moce forward with the project. 

On the first day of production, Finishing Foreman Roberto DeMacedo arrived at the home to begin his work. He started by installing ThermalDry floors throughout the basement, which are waterproof and come with a buil-in thermal break that keeps floors up to ten degrees warmer than the cold concrete below. Then, he added EverLast walls, which are more durable than traditional drywall, and come with built in rigid foam insulation to help keep the basement warm and energy efficient. The EverLast also helped to finish the basement stairway, which really gave the basement a full, finished look. 

By the time Roberto's work was done, the homeowner could hardly recognize his basement. He was startled by how much warmer and brighter his basement had become, and could not wait to enjoy this added living space for years to come.

After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Tony Van Deusen, went out to the home to assess the issues and propose a solution. 

The next step would be the installation. One of our Foremen, Al Guglielmoni, and his team would work on this project. They began by installing a WaterGaurd drain system below the floor to catch any water coming in from the walls or floors. Then they installed a TripleSafe sump pump. This works with three pumps (a primary, secondary, and battery backup). Any water collected from the drains goes into the sump and then gets pumped out of the home at a safe distance through a discharge line. They also installed a half wall of CleanSpace vapor barrier that will protect the walls. 

This basement will stay dry and any water will be properly pumped out of the home, leaving water worries behind! 

The homeowners in this Seymour home had a continuing water issue in their basement. The homeowners contacted the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems to fix it.
