A homeowner in Darien, CT, had water seepage issues in their basement, so they called us at Connecticut Basement Systems for a permanent solution.
One of our foremen installed this waterproofing job, but in this before-and-after, you can see that before we put down our ThermalDry flooring tiles, waterproofing was already installed. Our Foreman, Rafael, and his team installed the beautiful gray flooring.
Now this basement is completely waterproofed and has a great new look to it with beautiful new floors. The homeowner is pleased, knowing they can live with peace of mind.
When we arrived in this basement, it was wet and leaky. However, becasue of the thick, monolithic floors, installing a conventional perimeter drain would be impractical and inefficient. Instead, we used the DryTrak baseboard drain pipe. DryTrak drainage channel has a unique profile designed to capture wall seepage and ground water that leaks into the basement along the floor/wall joint. When combined with a high-performance sump pump system from Basement Systems, DryTrak drainage provides an effective, worry-free solution to basement water problems.
When we arrived in this basement, it was wet and humid, and in need of a sump pump. As you see from the before picture we opened up the floor around the walls to install TrenchDrain, Waterguard and a TripleSafe Sump pump to remove water from the basement. On the outside of the house we put in Iceguard to prevent water from backing up as a result of frozen pipes.
