A homeowner located in Norwalk, CT had a nasty crawlspace that they were looking to encapsulate. They called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a proper solution! After setting an appointment, one of our Salesmen, Mike Bourdeau, went to the home to evaluate and measure the crawlspace and then propose a solution with our encapsulation systems.
Soon after it would be time for one of our Foremen, Clive Burrel, and his crew to install this job. They installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier throughout the entire space, on the walls and floors. This will protect the entire space from moisture and eliminate any musty odors. Then they installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier that will eliminate moisture in the air and prevent mold growth. To keep the space energy efficient, RimJoist insulation was installed to keep the temperature throughout the space and the rest of the home regulated properly.
This crawlspace was truly transformed from something nasty to something clean and moisture-free! The homeowner has peace of mind knowing what is below them will keep their home healthy.
When we arrived at this crawlspace, it was damp and humid. In order to dry it out, we used several of our crawlspace repair products, including the TripleSafe sump pump. Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe provides three levels of protection for the basement and homeowner's peace of mind. It includes airtight lid, primary pump, secondary pump, and battery backup sump pump, in case of a power outage. The crawlspace will remain dry for years to come with the TripleSafe installed!
This crawl space used to be wet, cold, and humid. Its air leaks and lack of insulation made the house above drafty and cold during the winter. However, fiberglass insulation can't hold up in crawl space conditions; the moisture that so often plagues the area reduces the effectiveness of fiberglass. SilverGlo™ insulation is the superior choice for a dry, energy-efficient crawl space. It combines highly effective graphite-impregnated insulation with a built-in radiant heat barrier surface. This gives your crawl space walls an unbroken plane of R-11 insulation, while sealing your walls from outside moisture and humidity infiltration.
The right insulation and a vapor barrier prevent mold and moisture problems and keep the home comfortable year-round!
When we arrived at this crawlspace, it was humid and debris-filled. Moisture from the outside would seep into the area, leading to high humidity and mold problems in other areas of the house. We installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier on the floors of the crawlspace. This durable, bright white crawl space liner prevents water vapor and humidity from passing through. By keeping your crawl space dry with CleanSpace, you protect your structure and insulation from mold and rot!
When we arrived at this crawlspace, it was humid and leaky, and there were puddles of water on the ground. To stop groundwater from seeping into this home, we encapsulated the crawlspace with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is a very durable liner that water cannnot pass though. This crawlspace is now dry, and will remain so for years to come!
