This Shelton, CT homeowner was tired of looking at the cold, damp concrete floors in his basement. They had comfy, plush couches, but no floor under them to make the basement look like home. The home being close to water certainly didn't help matters! They decided to give us a call at Connecticut Basement Systems, and we were happy to come out, and offer them a solution to their problems!
Our System Design Specialist, Ken Billerback, came out and took a good look at this family's basement. He quickly knew just what they needed. They sent out Tony Dilonardo to the house, where his team and he went ahead and installed our ThermalDry Flooring Tiles in Canyon Beige. These flooring tiles completely transform your basement, and come in all colors and designs in the same 12 inch, square-shaped, snap together design. These tiles are strong, durable, and immune to moisture damage. For a home closer to the water like this one, they're a perfect option. The underside of each ThermalDry tile features construction that creates a drainage plane, as well as a thermal break to shield your feet from the cold concrete floor.
This family now feels comfortable bringing guests into their basement, and have a cozy evening at home! Give us a call TODAY for your FREE ESTIMATE!
Before, this Wolcott, CT crawl space was filled with moisture, had a dirt floor and was negatively impacting the rest of the home. Moisture that enters the crawl space can ruin insulation and encourage wood to rot and mold growth. We were able to solve this problem by installing a CleanSpace vapor barrier system to the dirt floors, SilverGlo insulation panels to the walls and rim joist insulation. The CleanSpace vapor barrier will prevent water vapor and humidity from passing through, thus keeping the crawl space dry. The SilverGlo insulation panels combine highly effective graphite infused insulation with a built-in radiant heat barrier surface. This gave the crawl space walls a solid pane of R-11 insulation. Lastly, the rim joist insulation will ensure that unwanted airflow and moisture will not flow through freely. Now, this crawl space is correctly sealed and insulated which will allow the home to run more efficiently!
