Our System Design Specialist, Rick Raucci, came out and quickly offered a fool proof solution to their water damage problems. Kryz Wilk and his team came out and they got right to work! They first installed our SuperSump along with the UltraSump back up battery. The SuperSump is a top-rated Zoeller pump, and is designed for high reliability and pumping. By adding the UltraSump back up, the battery-powered pump will come on automatically if the primary pump isn't doing its job for any reason. To make the space look cleaner and brighter, we went ahead and installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. This will reduce moisture and humidity in the space, and will help seal out cold drafts this upcoming winter!

This basement in New Canaan had severe mold and water damage to its walls and floors. The corner of this wall was turning black and spreading wider and wider. Ground water was building up behind the walls and up through the floor, causing the floor and walls to discolor. This homeowner wanted a basement that was waterproofed and rid of future problems. They gave us a call at Connecticut Basement Systems and we turned their basement into a healthy, clean space. We installed our SuperSump sump pump. It is an industry leading pump equipped with its own backup battery. Giving you peace of mind in case your power were to ever go out you don't have to worry about the SuperSump not working, because it will automatically keep preforming. It offers an effective and reliable solution to your basement water issues. This homeowner couldn't be happier with his new waterproofed basement , now equipped to take on potential water flowing in.
To stop water from flowing through the doorway of this home, our team installed the TrenchDrain grated draining system along the edge of the entranceway. TrenchDrain resembles half of a basement drainage pipe, with a grated opening fitted snugly on top. The grate is flush or slightly below the floor, eliminating any tripping hazard. After the cement finishes drying, the owners of this home can be confident that no water will leak through their doorway any more.
Water used to flood this basement through the hatchway door, especially during heavy rainstorms. To prevent this, we installed the TrenchDrain grated drainage system. It is uniquely designed to span doorways, hatchway entrances, and similar entryway doors. Any water passing over the drain is collected through the openings and redirected to the sump pump. The homeowners don't have to worry about basement flooding anymore!
This Woodbury craw lspace was dark, dirty, and let in a lot of air and moisture. The homeowners were unhappy with the condition of their crawl space and wanted it to be upgraded to have an efficient home. They did some research and decided to give Connecticut Basement Systems a call to help find them a solution!
The solution for this basement was to install SilverGlo, Rim Joist Insulation, and CleanSpace Liner in this crawl space. The SilverGlo will properly insulate the crawlspace and the Rim Joist Insulation will prevent any air or moisture from entering the space. The dirt floor of the crawlspace was concealed with a CleanSpace Liner. Not only does this liner make the crawlspace look clean and fresh, but it seals away odors while preventing mold and rot.
The after photo shows the crawlspace transformation, incredible! Now these homeowners can enjoy a clean, dry crawlspace that makes the whole home efficient!

This East Haven homeowner had trouble with water entering his basement. The constant flooding would leave his basement very damp with a musty odor. He wanted to find a solution that would keep his basement dry so he would not have to deal with a flood every time it rained. He decided to give Connecticut Basement Systems a call, knowing that they are the experts in all things basementy.
On the day of the appointment, our System Design Specialist Rick Raucci, arrived at the home to give a free home evaluation. He concluded that the best solution would be to install a WaterGuard system, which will waterproof the basement. The homeowner agreed to the solution and with no time to waste, we sent Marcio Bahiense and his production team to begin the installation process.
In order to install a WaterGuard System, the perimeter of the basement floors need to be dug up. The WaterGuard is placed along the perimeter of the basement and is back filled with gravel. This allows water to flow through the WaterGuard System and the gravel instead of entering the basement. Lastly, the perimeter of the basement is paved over with cement to close up the system, as seen in the after photo.
The homeowner decided to get a SuperSump pump, which pairs perfectly with the WaterGuard System. The SuperSump Pump is where the water channeled by the WaterGuard System is poured into. The SuperSump pump takes that water and drives it away from the home through a discharge line, keeping the basement dry all year around.
Now, this East Haven homeowner enjoys a dry basement and a peace of mind during every rain fall.

Before we arrived, this basement was always damp. We installed a SuperSump sump pump system. Once the cement finishes drying, the owners of this home wil have a waterproofed basement for years to come!
This Southington home had a crack in its basement wall that was seeping water which caused the homeowner to become concerned. Wanting a permanent solution to this problem, she decided to contact the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems.
The solution for this wall crack was to install FlexiSpan. Unlike hydraulic cements and epoxies, the special polyurethane polymer sealant used for this system will never dry our or re-crack due to the natural movement of the foundation wall over long periods of time. After installing the entire system, the wall crack was permanently sealed and the homeowner was relieved that she did not have a leaky wall crack in her basement!

Water used to flood this basement through the hatchway on rainy days. To prevent water from entering the home, our team installed the TrenchDrain grated drain along the basement enterance. Any water passing over the drain is collected through the openings and redirected to the sump pump. The homeowners can have peace of mind during rainstorms now!
In this Pawcatuck house, heavy rains always resulted in water in the basement much to the homeowners' dismay. At first, the homeowners bought two off-the-shelf sump pumps but when that didn't solve the problem effectively, they decided to call the experts at CT Basement Systems. We installed our WaterGuard French Drain System, which collects leaking water from the walls, features an anti-clog design, is installed out of the "mud zone" and includes a written lifetime warranty.
Once any leaking or seeping water is collected by the drainage system, it now automatically drains into the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, our premier sump pump solution. The TripleSafe, like the name implies, has three pumps. The first pump does the initial pumping when there is any water in the basement; if there is too much water for the first pump to handle, then the second pump kicks in. If the power goes out (it does happen!), the battery-powered third pump turns on and is able to pump enough water to fill half a swimming pool!
The homeowners can rest assured that they will no longer have water problems in their basement!
