A homeowner in Oakdale had a foundation that was cracking and settling, so they reached out to us to find a solution to the problem. One of our Sales Consultants, Matt Kraus, went out to the home to assess the issues and provide them with an estimate for a system that would solve the foundation problem.
Our crew, consisting of Foreman, Sergio Alves, and his helper, Jacob Scott, installed Push Piers on this job. They installed 8 under the foundation. The crew uses hydraulics to drive steel piers into the ground to lift and stabilize the foundation. This gives the homeowner peace of mind knowing this permanent solution will keep their home stable.
We turned this dark, dingy basement into a clean, comfortable living space for the whole family to enjoy.
An Ashford, CT homeowner was dealing with flooding in their basement when it rained, so they called us at Connecticut Basement Systems looking for a permanent solution. One of our Salesmen, Rob Brockenberry, went to the home to assess the basement and propose our full perimeter waterproofing system as the solution.
Shortly after, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Garfield, and his crew to install the proposed job. They installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the entire perimeter to capture seepage from the walls and below the floors. Then they installed a half wall of our CleanSpace vapor barrier, tucked into the drains to protect the walls and help lead water in the system. Finally, our TripleSafe sump pump was put in to take the collected water and safely pump it out of the home.
This system in place means that this basement will stay dry all the time, ensuring the customer can live worry-free!
Before, this Windham home had cold, concrete floors that were uncomfortable. It was difficult for the homeowner to spend any time in his own basement. He wanted flooring that would be both warm and attractive in the area. He decided to trust the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems to get the best floor options for his basement.
The homeowner decided to have ThermalDry floor carpet installed. This product includes a thermal break from the cold slab that makes the floor surface up to 10 degrees warmer. There is a grid design which prevents water vapor from getting trapped under the floor. This will prevent odors and mold. This is exactly what the homeowner wanted and was pleased with the transformation, just look at the before and after!
This home had a SuperSump installed, as well as a waterguard system and trenchdrain.
