A homeowner in Lebanon, CT, had old, rotting support posts in their crawl space. They called us at Connecticut Basement Systems in search of a new, permanent solution. Our Salesman, Tim Kane, went to the home to assess the space and propose our SmartJack crawl space supports as the solution.
Not long after, it would be time for Victor and his crew to install the job. They used temporary jacks to first remove the old posts. Then they put in a supplemental beam. The SmartJacks were then installed in place of all the old supports and under the new beams. These will ensure the crawl spac eis fully stabilized and supporting the whole home above.
The homeowner is now left with great peace of mind.
Our team performed waterproofing, electrical, plumbing, and finishing on this basement in Niantic CT. We removed the old insulation and installed ceiling linen. This, combined with our patented Everlast Perimeter Wall and Thermaldry floor tile, has made this basement aesthetically crisp, air-tight, finished, and waterproofed.
This Niantic home had constant water entering the basement and moisture was seeping through the walls. This was causing the home to become unpleasant with its dampness and musty odor. The homeowner wanted a clean, dry basement so she could utilize her space. She decided to call Connecticut Basement Systems to help find her a solution.
The solution for this basement was to install a WaterGuard system paired with CleanSpace. The WaterGuard system will collect the water internally and channel it to the TripleSafe Sump Pump. (TripleSafe Sump Pump is seen in the after photo.) The water is then withdrawn from the sump pump and exits through the discharge line (white pipe in after photo.) This system will keep the basement dry. We also installed a CleanSpace liner to prevent moisture from seeping through the walls. With minimal moisture, the musty odor will be eliminated.
Once all these products were installed, the basement transformed into a healthier and cleaner area. This is exactly what the homeowner wanted and was thrilled with the products and her transformed basement.
A homeowner in Oakdale had a foundation that was cracking and settling, so they reached out to us to find a solution to the problem. One of our Sales Consultants, Matt Kraus, went out to the home to assess the issues and provide them with an estimate for a system that would solve the foundation problem.
Our crew, consisting of Foreman, Sergio Alves, and his helper, Jacob Scott, installed Push Piers on this job. They installed 8 under the foundation. The crew uses hydraulics to drive steel piers into the ground to lift and stabilize the foundation. This gives the homeowner peace of mind knowing this permanent solution will keep their home stable.
We turned this dark, dingy basement into a clean, comfortable living space for the whole family to enjoy.
