This Tolland basement had frequent water issues and was becoming a nuisance for the homeowner. A reoccurring problem was water piling up by the stairs. The homeowner wanted to fix the problem and decided to schedule an appointment with Connecticut Basement Systems.
The experts at Connecticut Basement Systems suggested that a WaterGuard System paired with a TrenchDrain to be installed. It would efficiently collect and drain the water outside the home. The homeowner agreed that this would be the perfect solution for his basement and scheduled a production day.
On the day of production, Marcio Bahiense and his production team installed the WaterGuard and TrenchDrain System. The WaterGuard channels the water internally and brings it to a sump pump which discharges it outside the basement. The TrenchDrain, as seen in the before and after photos, will allow water to properly drain in problematic areas and bring it to the WaterGuard System. The TrenchDrain has a unique design, made out of heavy-duty reinforced plastic, so you will not have to worry about breakage, corrosion, moisture damage, or maintenance!
The homeowner was thrilled about all the products that were installed in his home and was impressed with how well they worked together. Now he can enjoy a dry basement thanks to Connecticut Basement Systems!

With a monolitic floor, it can often be difficult to install a below-floor drain due to the thickness of the concrete. To allieviate water pressure that builds up around the foundation and prevent cracking, our team drilled weep holes around the perimeter of the basement, and then covered them with the DryTrak perimeter drain system.
This West Hartford home had water issues in their basement. The constant water was becoming a nuisance and the homeowners wanted a solution. They decided to call Connecticut Basement Systems for a free home estimate.
The solution to this problem was to install a WaterGuard System to the perimeter of the walls of the basement. This system will channel water that would have entered the home and lead it to the sump pump. From the sump pump it is dispersed through a discharge line. In addition to this system, a TrenchLock trench drain (as seen in the after photo) was installed around the stairs to block unwanted water from entering the basement.
This is exactly what the homeowners wanted and were happy to have these products installed. They now enjoy a clean, waterproofed basement.
The inorganic materials that make up ZenWall — fiberglass, foil and vinyl, are all inorganic and will not rot or support mold growth, unlike the concrete walls in the before picture. It can also make up to a 10 degree difference in the surface temperature of the wall, adding comfort and saving energy. Aside from all of these benefits, ZenWall panels can be installed in any basement to make your walls look great! They dramatically brighten the room.
