FlexiSpan in East Hampton, CT

This East Hampton basement had a crack in its wall that was causing concern for the homeowner. The crack looked minor on the outside, but was allowing for air and moisture to enter the basement. This additional moisture was causing the basement to have a musty odor and the excess air was causing unwanted drafts. The homeowner wanted a solution that would correctly seal and waterproof her basement’s crack. She decided to call Connecticut Basement Systems for a free estimate.

The solution to fixing this homeowner’s problem was to apply our FlexiSpan system to the crack. Our FlexiSpan system seals the crack with a flexible sealant to prevent any air from leaking through. Then, a hidden foam channel is placed over the seal to direct any possible moisture or water to enter the basement. Unlike traditional sealant or mortar-based crack repair, FlexiSpan is not affected by hydrostatic pressure or slight movement in the basement wall. This means that our solution will work under all conditions.

Once the entire project was completed, the homeowner was extremely happy and impressed with the results. Now, she does not have to worry about her home having water or a must odor and can enjoy a clean, dry basement all year long.

SuperSump Pump Installed in Vernon Rockville, CT

When we arrived in this basement, we found that the existing sump pump was old and ineffective. Without a cover, dirt and debris fell into the basin and clogged the pump. In its place, we installed our SuperSump sump pump. It includes an airtight lid to keep odors and humidity out of the room, while protecting your sump from debris from the basement floor. Rubber grommets around all pipes and wires help maintain the airtight lid and also help to keep all PVC pipes steady and quiet. Additionally, The SuperSump includes a powerful Zoeller ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. The owners of this home never have to worry about basement flooding again!

Basement Waterproofing in Vernon Rockville, CT

A homeowner in Vernon Rockville, CT had a damp, wet basement. They called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a permanent solution. One of our Salesmen, Mark Krasnickas, went to the home to assess the basement and propose a waterproofing solution.

Soon after, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Marcial Lopez, and his crew to install this job. They installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the perimeter to capture water seepage. Then they installed our TripleSafe sump pump to take the collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. Our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to eliminate moisture and prevent mold growth throughout the entire basement.

Now, with our systems in place, this entire basement will stay dry all the time. The homeowner is happy and has great peace of mind.

DryTrak and Half Wall Restoration in Marlborough, CT

Before, this Marlborough basement had a water issue that would make the finished area unwelcoming with damp carpet and a musty odor. The homeowner wanted her finished basement to be usable and practical. After doing some research, she decided to contact the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems for a permanent solution.

The solution for this basement was to install DryTrak Baseboard Drain Pipe System. This system was necessary in this basement because it had monolithic flooring. We epoxy the drain pipe directly to the floor, leaving a slight opening along the top to collect water leaking in from the walls. Therefore, the basement is waterproofed without jackhammering! Half wall restoration was also performed to fix the damage that was caused by the water. The homeowner also decided to get rid of the original carpet and install ThermalDry Flooring to give the area a completed look. As you can see in the after photo, the basement was transformed to a dry and more comfortable area which is exactly what the homeowner had wanted!

BrightWall in Marlborough, CT

Before, this Marlborough basement had walls that were porous which allowed for water and air to flow through, making the area uncomfortable. The homeowner wanted a solution that would make the walls more attractive while also preventing air and moisture from flowing through. She contacted the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems to help her find the perfect solution.

The solution was to install BrightWall, which is a waterproof wall panel that also acts as an effective moisture and vapor barrier. Other benefits include: stain resistantance, easy to clean, and are maintenance free. This is exactly what this Marlborough homeowner needed for her basement walls. The transformation of the before and after photos speaks for itself. Now the homeowner does not have to worry about seepage coming through the walls anymore.
