I have been dealing with CT Basement Systems for many years, trying to get the water issue in my basement under control. We started in 2011 by installing a French Drain system, sump pump with battery back-up & a dehumidifier. Initially, the problem was corrected and I was very happy to be free of the very daunting flooding in my basement. Over the years, water started to come in again and I was serviced by your company numerous times, with various degrees of success.
Over the years, I had my oil tanks relocated to accommodate more channels, had the system under my basement windows repaired, and had basement sun houses installed. At one point, I asked for a manager to come to my house, because I felt that my verbal descriptions were insufficient. A manager came over I believe that same day, listened to my concerns, understood my situation & authorized the additional work that needed to be done.
Subsequently, during a flash flood in the summer of 2019, (4” in ½ hour), the basement filled up with water again. Danny Oestreich came out to the house, and was instrumental in finally getting the situation resolved. He scheduled a date to pull up some of the system already in place and found the problem that he expected; the piping was clogged with mud. He explained to me that the old system needed to be replaced and scheduled a date for removing the old French Drain system and replacing it with a newer more up to date system. The work was done promptly and efficiently and was done at no cost to me.
He also explained that to prevent flooding from any future deluge of rain overcoming the system and coming into the house, that I needed to do some outside drainage work. Danny made it clear that this was not his area of business or expertise and he would not recommend someone for me, but explained what I needed to have done, and as there was a language barrier with the contractors I hired, he was of great assistance in helping me communicate with them.
While Danny’s expertise and efficiency were outstanding, I think he exemplifies the kind of employees in your company that I have had the good fortune to work with. I want to say thank you to Danny, and to all the employees, managers and technicians, representing your company who work diligently to resolve issues for homeowners. I am so happy to tell you that my basement problems seem to be a thing of the past! It makes me happy to have a dry basement floor when we are inundated with rain.
Unfortunately, I don’t have all the names of the many CT Basement Systems technicians and managers who have visited my house over the past several years, but I have always appreciated their prompt attention, and perseverance, and ultimately their recommendations and solutions for the really difficult problem I have had for years.
CT Basement Systems is a company that CT can be proud of. Larry Janesky has built an organization of dedicated and efficient employees, who go the extra mile to help the residents of CT with an exceptionally difficult problem.
