It may be gray and rainy outside, but the colors are bright and cheerful inside Basement Systems headquarters today, the premiere experts for basement waterproofing in Connecticut.
The whole staff at Basement Systems donned pink shirts today to raise awareness of breast cancer. The town of Seymour, celebrated "Seymour Pink Day" today, October 19. Seymour Pink was established to fundraise for breast cancer research, provide education, and to empower and assist breast cancer victims and their families.
Connecticut has a higher rate of people diagnosed with breast cancer than the national average, and Seymour's breast cancer incidence is higher than the state's average.
Larry Janesky, owner and founder of Basement Systems, ordered pink t-shirts for all of his employees to wear as well as pink balloons, which employees displayed around the office. Every department was "thinking pink" today! The production department even installed basement waterproofing systems today while wearing their pink shirts.
