Basement Systems Helps the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Fixing a basement leak in Connecticut isn't the only thing Basement Systems is concerned with!

The town of Seymour, CT, is uniting in October to raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Seymour Pink was established to fundraise for breast cancer research, provide education, and to empower and assist breast cancer victims and their families.

Connecticut has a higher rate of people diagnosed with breast cancer than the national average and Seymour's breast cancer incidence is higher than the state's average.

Basement Systems, based in Seymour, is pitching in by helping to celebrate the 3rd annual Seymour Pink Day on October 19. Seymour Pink Day encourages Seymour residents to "think, wear, decorate pink" to raise awareness.

Larry Janesky, owner and founder of Basement Systems, will be ordering pink t-shirts for all of his employees to wear on Pink Day. Employees will also decorate their areas in pink.
