A building in Hartford, CT, wanted a long-term waterproofing solution. The owner called us at Connecticut Basement Systems. We sent one of our Sales Consultant, Stephen Singley, to look at the space and come up with a plan.
When the time arrived, one of our Foreman, Marcial Lopez, and his team went to the space. They started with installing our WaterGuard drainage system beneath the floor slab to efficiently capture any incoming water. Then, they set up our TripleSafe sump pump to efficiently expel water from the building. The team also installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier, a 100% waterproof plastic barrier that prevents leaks and mold growth. They also added our SaniDry Sedona, the world's most efficient high-performance dehumidifier and filtration system. With these waterproofing products in place, the building will remain dry, providing the owner with peace of mind!
A homeowner in Hartford, CT was getting water into their basement and needed a solution. They made the right decision when they called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to have us solve their problems. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Brian DiRisi, went out to the home to assess the issues and write up a solution.
Once the plan was approved it was time for one of our Foremen, Krzysztof Wilk, and his crew to install this project. They installed our WaterGuard drain system along with our SuperSump Plus. These will work together to collect the water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. The crew also installed a CleanSpace wall system to protect the walls from water/moisture and ensure if there is any, it gets directed into the WaterGuard system. Now this basement will stay dry because of our strong waterproofing systems.
When we arrived in this basement, it was humis and wet. The existing sump pump was insufficient, and wasn't able to dry out the space when it rained. We replaced the old pump with our TripleSafe system. The TripleSafe includes a primary pump, secondary pump in case of heavy water, and a backup battery pump. Alongside the SaniDry dehumidifier, the TripleSafe system created a dry basement!
Whenever it rained, water used to flow through the basement hatchway and into the house. We installed the TrenchDrain drainage system to keep water from entering the home. Water flows into the grates of the TrenchDrain, where it is redirected to the sump pump system to be pumped out of the home. The owners never have to worry about their basement flooding from the hatchway again!
This basement in Wethersfield, CT was dark and uninviting, and the W. family wanted to make it a space that EVERYONE in their family could enjoy. They gave us a call at Connecticut Basement Systems, and we were happy to come in, and create a space customized just for them!
The first thing we did was install Everlast panels on all of the walls. These panels are durable, solid, and long-lasting, and are better than soft insulation on walls. Best of all? They can hold as much as 300 pounds without breaking! It is also damage resistant and fiberglass free. We also used ThermalDry carpeting on all the floors in a beautiful beige carpet. These tiles are specifically designed for the basement, and come with a waterproof base, and a beautiful carpeted finish. We also installed ceiling tiles, made of mineral fibers. They are good with sound-deadening, and hold a 30 year warranty against mold and mildew.
