Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing a Basement in New Haven, CT
A homeowner in New Haven was getting water in their basement due to heavy rains, so they called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a permanent solution. Our Salesman, Dean Artusa, went to the home to assess the problem and propose a waterproofing system that would eliminate the problem once and for all.
One of our Foremen, Marcio Bahiense, and his crew installed this project. The major components of this job included our WaterGuard drainage system, SuperSump Plus sump pump, and CleanSpace vapor barrier.
These systems work together to ensure that the basement will stay dry all the time.
Before WaterGuard
Our WaterGuard drainage system was needed around the perimeter of this basement.
WaterGuard & CleanSpace
Our drainage system is installed below the floor, around the perimeter of the basement to capture water coming in from the walls. It is underneath the new cement seen in the image. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed on the walls and tucked into the WaterGuard to direct water from the walls into the drains.
SuperSump Plus Sump Pump
This sump pump will take the water collected from the drainage system and pump it out of the home through a proper discharge line that is far enough away from the home.
