Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing - West Hartford, CT
A homeowner in West Hartford, CT expressed concerns regarding the lack of waterproofing systems in his basement. In need of a solution, he reached out to the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems for a free in-home consultation.
Upon calling, the homeowner made contact with Sales Representative Mick Foster. Once Foster arrived at the home, he discussed potential locations for a sump pump system, and additional methods of protection against basement moisture. Included in this conversation was our TripleSafe sump pump system, WaterGuard French drain system, and CleanSpace vapor barrier. Following the visit, Foster drafted a proposal and provided the homeowner with his suggestions.
With the proposal accepted by the homeowner, Foreman Chavon Bowman and his team arrived on-site to begin the installation process. Using Foster's proposal as a guide, Bowman and his team quickly installed all three systems. Once complete, the basement was returned to the homeowner fully protected against moisture for years to come!
Pre-Install: Efflorescence
Prior to the install, signs of basement moisture include the white substance on the wall known as sodium sulfate efflorescence. As water enters through narrow gaps and cracks in the concrete, it pulls salts out of the concrete staining the walls with the white powdery substance.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
Our TripleSafe sump pump system, installed in the corner of this basement, offers three levels of protection against basement moisture!
WaterGuard & CleanSpace Installed
Our WaterGuard system, installed below the slab (see wet concrete along perimeter), collects moisture along the perimeter. The CleanSpace vapor barrier helps facilitate this process, channeling moisture into the WaterGuard system which feeds into the TripleSafe sump pump.
