A homeowner in Hamden, CT expressed interest in waterproofing his basement. Thus, he reached out to Connecticut Basement Systems and made contact with Sales Representative Don Godbout. Scheduling a free in-home consultation, he expressed some of his concerns over the phone, such as moisture seeping through the wall in a corner of his basement.
Godbout arrived at the home shortly after, measuring the basement and drafting a proposal for the homeowner. Once the visit concluded, the tailored proposal was handed off and ultimately accepted by the homeowner.
On the day of the install, Foreman Joe Schech and his team arrived on-site. Following a quick installation, the basement was returned to the homeowner protected against additional moisture concerns!
Moisture Damage
Prior to the install, the homeowner expressed concerns regarding the presence of moisture building up along the wall and floor. It's apparent that moisture build up has soaked through the cinderblock wall, outlining the mortar joints between the blocks.
Post-Install
Following the install, a fresh CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed over the moisture-filled wall. This vapor barrier feeds into the WaterGuard system (fresh concrete along perimeter), which feeds into the UltraSump Plus sump pump system.
UltraSump Plus Sump Pump
This UltraSump Plus sump pump system, featuring a buried discharge line, removes excess moisture from the basement with two Zoeller sump pumps.
