A homeowner in Madison, CT was getting water in their basement, leaving water damage. They made the smart decision and called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find them a solution. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Mike Bourdeau, went to the home to assess the problem and provide a solution.
Soon after, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Moises Chantes, and his crew to tackle this project. They installed our WaterGuard perimeter drain system throughout the basement. This goes below the floor and is then covered back up with concrete to ensure that if any water comes in through the walls or floors, it will go directly into the WaterGuard. To go with this, they installed a SuperSump plus sump pump. This will take the collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. The crew also installed a CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls of the basement to protect it and direct any water from behind the walls, into the WaterGuard drains. For extra protection and key to the waterproofing process, they installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. This will prevent excess moisture and mold growth. Our EverLast basement windows were installed too. Now this basement is fully waterproofed and this homeowner will no longer have to deal with water in their basement!
Basement Prior to Waterproofing
This homeowner had no waterproofing in their basement and they were continuously experiencing water in the basement.
SupeSump Plus and Sedona
Our crew installed a SuperSump Plus sump pump to collect any water that comes into the basement and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. This is done through a proper discharge line that is far enough away from the home so water has no way back in. They also installed our Sedona dehumidifier to prevent excess moisture which will ensure that no mold can grow in the basement.
Not Waterproofed
This is another angel of the basement before waterproofing.
WaterGuard, CleanSpace, and EverLast Window
Our crew installed a perimeter WaterGuard drain system around the entire basement. It is installed below the floor and then covered back up with concrete to ensure it can collect any water coming from the walls or floors. They also installed a CleanSpace wall system that covers all the basement walls ensuring it acts as a vapor barrier. Lastly, they installed EverLast basement window inserts that will also protect from water coming in and give the windows a nice updated look!
