Welcome back Sgt. Kenny Ramey!

Kenny (part of the R&D team) and his wife, Staff Sgt. Rachel Ramey, returned home June 5th after a 10 month tour in Afghanistan. The pair are members of the 143rd MP Company, and worked in the Ghazni province alongside the Afghan Uniformed Police as a combined action team.

Kenny and Rachel were newlyweds when they left for Afghanistan in August 2012. Two months into their deployment they spent their first wedding anniversary apart. "We got married, and then we got separated for our deployment, so this is the first time we're seeing each other," said Rachel on the day they arrived home to Connecticut.

Before the pair was deployed, they had begun a partial renovation on their home, and while they were gone their families completed a total overhaul of the property. Rachel's stepfather organized the renovation. The couple was kept completely in the dark about the status of their home until the surprise was unveiled to them when they arrived home!
