Snow Storm Leaves Connecticut with Snow and Rain Problem

This weekend's snow storm left the State of Connecticut in a state of emergency and roads were closed until 4 pm on Saturday. Snow totals were anywhere from 11 inches to 36 inches and more in some communities. Snow plows could not keep up with the heavy snowfall and demand for plowing is still strong.

On top of the snow, rain, ice and sleet have now covered the state with a glaze of ice that weighs down gutters and rooves as well. As temperatures rise the snow will begin to melt and water will seep into the ground and around building foundations and basements.
