A Rainy Month for Connecticut

A Rainy Month for Connecticut - Image 1The month of March definitely came in like a lamb and left like a lion. Two major storms produced heavy winds and torrential rain, flooding basements and downing trees. Connecticut saw as much as 10 inches of rain throughout the state.

Connecticut Basement Systems is still recovering from the overwhelming amount of calls we received from Connecticut homeowners with basement flooding. On March 15, CTBS received 8,686 phone calls between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and booked 204 appointments. Our employees also drove out across Fairfield County, one of the most heavily damaged areas, dodging downed trees and flooded roads, to get sump pump batteries to homeowners without power.

Rivers and streams are still swelled and flooding is still an issue throughout the state. And Spring has only just begun!
