Groundhog Day 2022

Despite six more weeks of winter, Connecticut Basement Systems still had a blast this Groundhog Day! Not only was our Recruiting Specialist, Jennifer (Jen) Dauphinais and our Production Office Assistant, Amanda Greer, celebrating their birthdays, but we also got the whole team to celebrate Groundhog Day in style!

As many know, Groundhog Day has been a yearly tradition ever since 1887. Punxsutawney Phil from Pennsylvania makes a prediction based on the weather. If the sun is shining and Phil sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter. If it’s cloudy and there is no shadow, there will be an early spring. 

Jen goes all out on her Groundhog Day Birthday, so this year she brought the fun to CTBS and came prepared with hats, t-shirts, and all different kinds of groundhog gear. Our employees and managers joined in on the fun and took pictures of themselves dressed in hats that Jen herself got from Pennsylvania seeing Phil on her birthday years ago.
