This year’s Annual Chili Cook Off took place at Leslie’s Place in Building 3. 10 contestants brought in their Chili to be judged by tasters who participated from the entire company. Tasters who wanted to participate had to bring in a canned food item to be donated to our Thanksgiving Food Drive that we are contributing to this year.
Once the can food item was donated, tasters stood in line to fill up their tasters’ cups of each chili. Once each one was tasted, a gem was placed in a jar for their favorite chili. Whoever had the most gems would be the 1st place winner. To make things more interesting, we had a guest judge from Zois’ Pizza come to participate in the judging. His pick would win Best Overall Chili.
The chilies were represented by a number so no one would know which chili belonged to whom. The gems were counted and the results were in. 1st place winner was Finish Project Manager, Julie Marra. 2nd place was Total Basement Finishing Vice President, Jeff Nelson. 3rd place winner was Sales Representative, Don Godbout. Best Overall which was picked by our guest judge was Social Media Manger, Jon Taylor. Congrats to all the winners and thank you for some good chili!
