Before we arrived at this East Haven basement, it was cold and damp. The cracks in the wall made it easy for air flow and humidity to travel through. The homeowner wanted a solution to stop the air flow and humidity in her basement. She decided to give Connecticut Basement Systems a call to provide a solution!
With an appointment set, one of our System Design Specialists, Josh Kroop, was able to perform a free home evaluation. He concluded, to stop the air flow and humidity, a CleanSpace Wall would need to be installed. With the homeowner’s agreement, Cisco and Josh were able to install the system quickly and professionally.
Clean. Dry. Durable. Those are 3 words that accurately describe CleanSpace. It utilizes a thick (20 mil) white poly sheet material to completely cover basement foundation walls. This prevents humidity and air flow to travel through the basement, which solves the homeowner’s main concern. This patented product actually forces all wall seepage to go through the perimeter drain system. This homeowner decided to have a SuperSump paired with the CleanSpace wall for ultimate protection.
Now, this happy East Haven homeowner can enjoy her dry, clean basement!

This East Haven homeowner had trouble with water entering his basement. The constant flooding would leave his basement very damp with a musty odor. He wanted to find a solution that would keep his basement dry so he would not have to deal with a flood every time it rained. He decided to give Connecticut Basement Systems a call, knowing that they are the experts in all things basementy.
On the day of the appointment, our System Design Specialist Rick Raucci, arrived at the home to give a free home evaluation. He concluded that the best solution would be to install a WaterGuard system, which will waterproof the basement. The homeowner agreed to the solution and with no time to waste, we sent Marcio Bahiense and his production team to begin the installation process.
In order to install a WaterGuard System, the perimeter of the basement floors need to be dug up. The WaterGuard is placed along the perimeter of the basement and is back filled with gravel. This allows water to flow through the WaterGuard System and the gravel instead of entering the basement. Lastly, the perimeter of the basement is paved over with cement to close up the system, as seen in the after photo.
The homeowner decided to get a SuperSump pump, which pairs perfectly with the WaterGuard System. The SuperSump Pump is where the water channeled by the WaterGuard System is poured into. The SuperSump pump takes that water and drives it away from the home through a discharge line, keeping the basement dry all year around.
Now, this East Haven homeowner enjoys a dry basement and a peace of mind during every rain fall.

On the day of the free, no obligation appointment, Sales Representative Glen Kerpchar arrived at the home to inspect the problem. He assured the homeowner that this was a common problem due to weak soil. Luckily, there was a solution that we offer and Glen further discussed SmartJacks. SmartJacks are steel supports that are used to stabilize and level the floor joists in a crawl space. Glen reassured that installing them in the crawl space would be the right solution. The homeowner agreed and moved forward with the project to stabilize her home.
On the day of installation, Foreman Victor Alves and his crew installed 4 SmartJacks in the crawl space. This is the only solution that addresses the soil problem directly. Once the project was completed, the homeowner was relieved that the floors have been stabilized and feels secure in her home.
