A family in Windsor, CT has called us with an interest in waterproofing their basement. Over time, they noticed water was beginning to seep in through the walls, and from the outside down the stairs. They wanted to stop this from happening again, so they gave us a call at Connecticut Basement Systems to fix the problem!
We brought our system design specialist, Joshua Kroop, out to find a solution to their problem. Once he found out their needs, he brought out one of our foreman, Kryz Wilk, to take on the job. We first installed a TripleSafe Sump Pump system into their basement. This system works in three parts; one pump that isa heavy-duty, 1/3HP Zoelle, and easily handles normal pumping volume -up to 2600 gal. per hour. The second pump is even more powerful (1/2HP) than PUMP 1. It comes on automatically if PUMP 1 fails or if high water flow calls for greater pumping volume -up to 6,200 gal. per hour. The third is a battery-powered pump that will run automatically if there's a power outage -over 11,000 gal. on a fully charged battery. We also installed a Lawnscape and IceGuard outside of the home, to ensure water was leaving the basement properly.
This family can now rest easy, and feel safe for seasons to come!
