In a rental home but coordinating repairs for the landlord. An 1800's home with half dirt, half poured cement floor. There is water running in the dirt section all the time - does not appear to change with weather. House is built into a hill and the whole hillside seeps. There is an exsisting PVC drain pipe that runs directly outside. Interested in cement throughout. Would like to coordinate an estimate. Email may be best for contact.

Her dirty basement had water that created mold and complications, so calling Connecticut Basement Systems was the best thing for her, as we assessed the problems, we knew just what to do.

To fix the water issues, our Triple Safe SumpPump was installed which is engineered with three levels of protection. The first level starts with the most reliable cast iron AC sump pump, then installed with them is two separate discharge lines, this is so if one pump can’t handle the volume of water, they can work to pump together. If you were to lose power, a third DC pump automatically starts. This allows for large quantities of water to be handled easily and will stop water from entering the basement. An IceGuard was also installed which prevents discharge lines from freezing. When the lines freeze it stops water from being able to escape and it ends up back in the basement, IceGuard stops the line from freezing so no water will get backed up back into the basement.

I currently live in New York City, but my parents are based out of Washington CT in Litchfield County, and have been living with a flooded (~4") basement since Hurricane Irene over 15 months ago.
