Foundation Supportworks Push Piers are made of steel and are driven deep into the soil beneath a foundation to solve settlement problems. Push piers can be installed inside or outside your foundation walls and are not visible once the repair is complete. Push piers not only stop settlement but lift the foundation back to its original position, closing cracks and improving window and door operation.
For homes in flood zones, including this one from Milford, CT, it's often beneficial for basements to have flood vents. These vents help equalize water pressure between the inside and outside of the house, preventing foundation collapse. However, openings in the basement can also let dirt, humidity, or pests into the home. The SmartVent we installed will remain closed until flood waters reach it. Not only did we protect this basement, but saved the homeowners money by reducing their flood insurance costs!

Water was a problem for this Milford basement. Every time it rained, the basement would become wet which would leave a gross musty odor. She found out that Connecticut Basement Systems are the experts of all things basementy and decided to set an appointment.
On the day of the appointment, Sales Representative Rick Raucci arrived at the home to inspect the basement. He concluded that a WaterGuard system would surely solve this water problem. To eliminate the musty odor, a SaniDry Sedona was recommended. Rick went over the products and process with the homeowner who decided to move forward with the project.
On the day of installation, Foreman Krzys Wilks and his team installed the products professionally and efficiently. They first installed the WaterGuard System by digging a small trench around the perimeter of the basement walls. The system is then placed inside the drench and then is sealed back up with cement. The system is then hooked up to the sump pump. The water is collected and channeled through the WaterGuard System and is led to the sump pump. The water will then exit the home through a discharge home. Lastly, the SaniDry Sedona was placed and installed, which will collect moisture and reduce the humidity in the area. With low humidity, the musty smell will be eliminated leaving a clean and healthier environment.
The homeowner was very impressed with the outcome of her basement and now can enjoy a healthy and clean basement all year long!
This Milford basement had water issues that would cause headaches for the homeowner. He was tired of walking into the basement to find water and a musty odor taking over the area. He wanted to find a solution so he decided to set an appointment with Connecticut Basement Systems.
On the day of the appointment, Sales Representative Rick Raucci arrived at the home to give a free home estimate. He concluded that the best solution for this basement would be to install a WaterGuard System paired with a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Rick explained the benefits of both products. The WaterGuard system is installed internally along the perimeter of the basement. From there it will collect water before it enters the basement and channels it to a sump pump. Once it reaches the sump pump, the water is discharged through an exterior discharge line, keeping the basement completely waterproofed. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier will keep humidity low in the basement preventing mold growth and eliminating that musty odor. The homeowner wanted these products installed and quickly scheduled for an installation date.

Additionally, Erik installed a half bathroom, electrical baseboard heating, a new window, and flooring.
Once the basement was finished, Robert and his family had a beautiful new living space to watch their kids grow up in.
