A homeowner in Enfield, CT was experiencing a variety of issues pertaining to unwanted basement water. From water pooling up in uneven portions of the floor, to efflorescence coating the walls, the homeowner knew she needed to act. In need of an expert with years of experience, she contacted the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems!
Upon reaching out, the homeowner made contact with Sales Consultant Ron Marra. Marra, a trained expert on basement waterproofing, listened attentively to the homeowner's concerns. Scheduling a free in-home consultation, Marra pointed out some of the less obvious signs of moisture build up. For example, the buildup of sodium sulfate efflorescence on the walls, a process that occurs when hydrostatic pressure pushes water through small cracks in the concrete walls. With the water pushing through the cracks comes the release of salts within the concrete, resulting in an unsightly white stain.
To combat these issues, Marra suggested installing a perimeter French drain system known as WaterGuard. The WaterGuard below-floor system is installed by removing a section of the concrete floor around the perimeter and adding in a French drain system. The WaterGuard system is then installed, collecting water running down the walls into a clog-free drain that connects to our TripleSafe sump pump for quick, stress-free expulsion from the home.
Once the homeowner approved of these plans, Foreman Vic Varela and team arrived on site. With a quick install, the homeowner's basement was returned to her waterproofed and protected against future moisture for the years to come!
