Looking to doing a total basement finishing/ waterproofing
Project Location: Ansonia, CT
I own a 1600 sq. ft cape, built in 1938. Half of the foundation consists of a stone, masonry foundation which sits on top of a 42" solid, poured concrete knee wall. Throughout the years, I can see that previous owners have applied dry-lock hydrolic cement in various areas, but water keeps finding other ways in, especially where the foundation wall meets the slab. After this recent rain we have had, this the worst its been since i purchased the home in April of this year. We do have a sump pump installed, but it has been backing up. It seems as though the ground water is coming right back in through the exit hose that is connected to the pump. I would love a free in home estimate to help resolve this. My wife and I have a baby on the way soon, and I would like to be able to sleep through the night as best as I can, and only be awakened by the baby, not a leaky basement. Thanks so much, Kevin
