Before we waterproofed this West Haven basement, the moisture seeping through the walls and flooring made the cement look terrible and threatened the value of the home. We installed a TripleSafe sump pump, our most reliable sump pump with 2 pumps and a backup battery in case of power outage. Additionally, we put CleanSpace on the walls, which stops any water vapor from getting into the space. With our innovative products, we transformed this basement into a clean, dry space that's a great asset to this home.
BrightWall is a rigid plastic sheeting that's attached to your basement wall by drilled-in plastic fasteners. It's durable, washable, and will not support the growth of mold or rot. BrightWall redirects any water that passes through your basement wall to a sump pump system.
Once the concrete around this TrenchDrain dries, it will be ready to stop any water flowing through the doorway for years to come!

This West Haven, CT home has our sump pump system but the homeowner noticed water in her basement. She immediately called Connecticut Basement Systems to have a Service Technician come out to find what was causing her wet basement.
Sam the Service Technician arrived at the home to assess the situation and looked into the system. He opened it up and instantly knew what the problem was, the system was clogged due to iron build up. Sam was able to clear out all the buildup and ensure that every part of the system was working correctly.
How do we prevent iron build up in our systems? We highly recommend having an annual maintenance done to the system to prevent any type of buildup. The last time this system had a maintenance was back in 2014 and that was the cause of the buildup. This is why we always highly recommend an annual maintenance because it is the best way to keep your basement waterproofed!

The homeowner wanted to find a solution to solve his wet basement and to make the area finished for all to enjoy. On the day of the appointment, Sales Representative James Stablein arrived at the home to evaluate the basement. He concluded that a full perimeter WaterGuard pair with at TripleSafe sump pump would need to be installed to keep the basement dry. Since the bottom of the basement walls had clear moisture damage, James recommended to have a restoration wall. To ensure that the floors would be waterproofed and appealing, ThermalDry carpet was suggested. The homeowner reviewed each product intensively with James and decided to move forward with the project.
On the day of production, Foreman Krzys and his crew installed the WaterGuard system. This system is installed below the ground around the perimeter of the basement. The purpose is for the system to collect water before it even enters the basement. Once the system collects the water, it is channeled to the TripleSafe sump pump where the water is discharged away from the home. This system will keep the basement dry. In addition to the WaterGuard system, half wall restoration replaced the moisture damaged walls. This was installed by Foreman Kevon Barnett and he also installed ThermalDry Charcoal carpet to finish the basement.
