This Tolland home had a wet basement every time it rained. This led the basement to not be utilized to its fullest potential. The homeowner wanted to find a solution and decided to call Connecticut Basement Systems for a free, no obligation estimate to resolve the problem.

On the day of the appointment, Sales Representative Ferdinand Gojani arrived at the home to assess the basement. Upon inspection, he concluded that a WaterGuard system would be the best solution for this basement. He explained how beneficial this product would be for the homeowner. The WaterGuard system is a below the floor drainage system that collects water internally. It then channels that water to the sump pump where it is exited through a discharge line away from the home. The homeowner was excited about this product and wanted to move forward with the project.

WaterGuard and ThermalDry in Willington, CT

This Willington basement had water problems every time it rained. The water entering the basement would leave the basement to be a dreary, wet and unwelcoming space. The homeowner was especially annoyed with the water damaging the floor of the area. Wanting a solution to solve his wet basement, he decided to contact the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems.

On the day of the appointment, Sales Representative Glen Knafel arrived at the home to inspect the basement. He concluded that the best solution to have a dry basement would be to install a WaterGuard System installed. This system is installed below the ground where it collects water internally. The water is then channeled to the sump pump where it is then discharged away from the home. Glen also suggested new flooring to replace the damaged. This is exactly what the homeowner wanted and decided to move forward with the project.

On the day of Production, Foreman Krzystof Wilk arrived at the home to install the products efficiently and professionally. The perimeter of the basement had to be excavated in order to install the WaterGuard system. This system connected to our SuperSump pump system which will effectively discharge any water trying to enter the basement. In addition, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was also installed to keep humidity low in the area, creating a healthier environment. ThermalDry Parquet tile was installed in this basement which was a perfect choice because this product will not support mold growth and looks beautiful. WaterGuard System and ZenWall in Stafford, CT

This Stafford basement was uninviting and a drag to be in. As soon as you walked down into the basement you would feel the air and moisture as well as a musty odor. The homeowner wanted a healthier and more inviting basement which would utilize the space to its fullest potential. He cannot use it now because it constantly gets wet. He decided to reach out to the experts a Connecticut Basement Systems to help find him a solution.

The solution for this basement was to install a WaterGuard system. This system is installed internally below the ground around the perimeter of the basement. This job installed a TripleSafe sump pump, which is a great choice since there are 3 pumps to handle any amount of water. Lastly, a SaniDry Sedona was placed to keep humidity in the air below 55% to ensure clean and healthy air.

Everlast Wall Restoration in Columbia, CT

In a Columbia, CT house, a family was having trouble with water ruining some of their basement walls. Some walls had been so badly damaged from the water that they turned black with mold covering it. Once the family decided to take action to replace these walls, they called us in order to rid their family space or harmful and pungent mold growths.

Once it was time for the appointment, our salesman suggested that Everlast walls would be the perfect replacement for having a beautiful new look in the basement, as well as keeping mold from growing through the walls. The salesman described to the homeowners that the inorganic fibers that make up our Everlast walls makes it so mold cannot grow or live on the walls, and that the walls are also moisture and water resistant.

For this family's problem, we had the perfect solution, and they thought the same thing. Once a price was agreed upon, our installation crew got to work removing the old and moldy walls from the Columbia basement, and installed the new and beautiful Everlast wall pannels. This completely changed this basement from a water damage AND an aesthetic perspective. The family was thrilled with their new basement walls and were grateful for our solutions and strive to help families such as them.

Basement Waterproofing Systems in Andover, CT

This homeowner in Andover, CT was struggling with water in their basement. They decided to call us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a solution for their water problem. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Mike Bourdeau, went out to the home to see what was going on. He then proposed a proper solution for the issue. He informed the homeowner that they would need our waterproofing systems in order to make their basement completely dry.

This job would be best for one of our Foremen, Cisco Berrios, and his crew. They would begin by installing a perimeter WaterGuard drainage system. This would go below the floor to collect any water coming in from the floors or walls. They also installed a TrenchDrain at the bottom of the stairs to collect any water coming in from the slope. This would then get drained into the TripleSafe sump pump that they installed. This sump pump uses a three-pump system, one with a battery backup. Then the TripleSafe would pump out all that water through a discharge line at a safe distance from the home. This means no more water in the basement and the customer is happy with the results! Now this basement will stay nice an dry into the future.

Waterproofing in Tolland, CT

A homeowner in Tolland had water coming into their basement and needed a permanent solution so that they would never have to worry about it again. One of our Sales Consultants, Brian DiRisi, went out to the home to check out the issues and propose a solution with our waterproofing systems.

One of our Foremen, Delfino Mones, and his crew would install this job. They installed our WaterGuard drain system below the floor to collect any water coming in through the walls or floors. This gets installed by jackhammering into the floor, laying down the drains, and then covering them with new concrete to close them off. Then they installed our TripleSafe sump pump to take the collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. The TripleSafe uses 3 pumps; a primary, a secondary, and a battery backup which can pump over 11,000 gallons on a full charge. This system will always be working, even if the power goes out. Now with these systems, this basement will stay dry all the time, giving the homeowner peace of mind.

Repairing a Foundation in Hebron, CT

A homeowner in Hebron called us and said they had a shifting and settling foundation that they wanted us to repair. We sent out one of our Sales Consultants, Tim Kane, to the home to assess the issues and propose a solution that will solve this problem for good! He informed them that they would need our crew to install foundation push piers to stabilize and lift the home up.

One of our Foremen, Sergio Alves, and his helper Jacob Scott, would tackle the installation of this job. This job required push piers. They installed multiple around the outside of the home. These piers get installed below the foundation footing where they drive steel piers into the ground to lift the home into place and stabilize it. To do all of this, they have to dig a trench deep into the ground to then install brackets below the footing. Then they use hydraulic pressure to slowly push the steel piers through the bracket and into the ground below. This is done until a certain pressure is reached and the piers have gone deep into the ground. They are lifted and stabilized to a certain pressure that the homeowner is satisfied with. Then the crew caps off each push pier bracket and can finally backfill the trench. Now this home is stable and has lifted into position, giving the homeowner peace of mind!

Waterproofing a Basement in Amston, CT

A homeowner in Amston, CT was getting water in their basement for a while and finally decided to have it looked at and waterproofed. After reaching out to us at Connecticut Basement Systems, we sent out one of our Salesmen, James Stablein, to the home to estimate the issues and propose a full system waterproofing solution.

One of our Foremen, Delfino Mones, and his crew worked on the installation. First, they installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the entire perimeter, below the floor to capture any water coming in through the walls or floors. They also installed a TrenchDrain that will collect water that may come in from the basement entrance. Next, they installed our TripleSafe sump pump which uses 3 pumps to discharge the water from the home. They include a primary, a secondary, and a battery backup pump that will pump 11,500 gallons on a full charge. They also installed a CleanSpace vapor barrier on the walls to tie them into the flange of the WaterGuard below so that water on the walls goes directly into the drains. Our Sedona dehumidifier was installed to eliminate moisture in the air and prevent mold growth. With no moisture in the air, mold will have no place to grow.

This homeowner was thrilled with the results and now has peace of mind! Their whole basement will now stay dry all the time!
