Marcio Bahiense and his team came over, and they quickly got to work! First, a TrenchDrain and WaterGuard were installed. These products collect water from the stairs and walls, and lead directly to a TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump is a not just a single pump, it is a sump pump system. It comes with one pump that can pump up to 2,600 gallons per hour, and the second, which allows it to pump up to 6,200 gallons. The third is a back-up battery, which is only turned on when the other two stop working. This allows the pumps to pump up to 11,000 gallons! This Carmel Hamlet, NY basement had constant water issues that was causing annoyance for the homeowner. A damp basement can cause for an unhealthy environment. Concerned, the homeowners wanted to find a solution to keep her basement dry all year long. After doing a lot of research, they called Connecticut Basement Systems to get their professional opinion.
On the day of the appointment, Sales Representative Doug Wheeler arrived at the home to inspect the basement. He concluded that the best solution to keep this basement dry would be to install a WaterGuard System. This below the floor system collects water internally before it reaches the basement. The water then is channeled to a sump pump and is discharged away from the home. To prevent unwanted moisture or air from entering the basement, BrightWall panels can be installed to the basement walls. This is exactly what the homeowner had wanted and followed through with the project.

After scheduling an appointment, it would soon be time for one of our Sales Consultants, Gus Stozinic, to go out to the home to assess the issues and provide them with a permanent solution. He informed the homeowner that they would need our SmartJack system to support the floors above and stabilize their home overall.
One of our Foremen, Sergio Alves, and Jacob Scott will work on the installation of this job. They installed 19 SmartJacks throughout this basement to stabilize and support the entire home. Our crew has to jackhammer into the ground, install the SmartJacks, and then pour concrete for the footing. They had to install 74 feet of supplemental beam to properly install the SmartJacks. These SmartJacks get tightened to a certain pressure until they are stabilizing and supporting the floor joists above. Over time, our crew will come out and tighten them even more so that the floors will no longer sag. Once everything was installed, the homeowner instantly had peace of mind knowing their floors and home were stabilized permanently and was already visibly seeing results on the floor.

First, our WaterGuard drainage system was installed below the floor, around the entire perimeter of the basement. This is done by jackhammering the floor, laying down the drains, and then covering it with new concrete. These drains collect water coming in from below the floor or from the walls and direct it into the sump pump liner. Next, they installed our TripleSafe sump pump that will pump out the collected water safely from the home. It utilizes 3 pumps; a primary, a secondary, and a battery backup, making this our most reliable sump pump system. The UltraSump battery backup can pump out 11,500 gallons on a full charge.
