This Bristol, CT home had a wet basement that concerned the homeowner. A wet basement can cause an unhealthy and disruptive environment. He wanted to find a solution to ensure that his basement would be dry all year long and decided to do some research on the internet to find the best basement waterproofer in the area. After conducting his research, he decided to contact the experts at CT Basement Systems.
On the day of the free, no-obligation estimate, Sales Representative Bret Citrin arrived at the home to inspect the basement. He concluded that this basement would most benefit from having a WaterGuard System installed. This award-winning, patented below-floor drain rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. This keeps it out of the “mud zone” which is the point where clogged drains are common. The water is collected through this drain before it enters the inside of the basement. The water is then channeled to the sump pump where it is properly discharged away from the home. This is exactly what the homeowner wanted and decided to move forward with the project.
On the day of production, Foreman Krzys Wilk and his team installed the WaterGuard System professionally and efficiently. The perimeter of the basement flooring was excavated in order to place the system properly. Once installed, the area is back filled with gravel and then sealed off with cement. It is then connected to the sump pump where the water will be discarded through a discharge line away from the home. Once the project was completed, the entire basement was waterproofed and the homeowner can now enjoy a dry and healthier basement all year long.
