This Rye, NY basement was wet, dreary and unpleasant. Walking into a basement that could not be utilized because of its condition made the homeowner frustrated. Wanting a clean, dry basement, he decided to contact the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems.

We were able to transform this basement with the help of our patented products: the WaterGuard System and CleanSpace. The WaterGuard is an internal drainage system that will collect ground water and channel it to a sump pump. The water is then discharged away from the home. CleanSpace is installed on the walls which will prevent any air or moisture from seeping through. The combination of these two products created a clean and dry basement that the homeowner could enjoy!

Basement Finishing & Remodeling in Rye, NY

Waterproofing your basement prevents outside water from coming in but what if a pipe bursts or the water heater leaks inside the home. A newly finished basement done by your average contractor will mold and rot if there is an internal leak. You'll have to tear out your new basement! We fix this issue.

Our Products Include :
  • Waterproof, washable, insulated walls
  • Mold-Resistant, No-Sag suspended ceiling
  • Modular carpet, tile & faux wood flooring

  • Energy-efficient, double-paned basement windows
  • Attractive Sunhouse basement window wells
  • French, bifold, louvre & six-paneled steel doors
Unlike the average Rye contractor we use completely inorganic, waterproof materials. Even if the basement floods your walls and floors will not be damaged by the water. These waterproof products are patented and are built to create an attractive finished basement that lasts a lifetime.

PolyLevel™ Concrete Leveling & Lifting

The sunken and cracked concrete around your Rye home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.

Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel. Call us today to learn more.

We Fix
  • Cracked Driveways
  • Uneven Patios
  • Sinking Sidewalks

  • Uneven Concrete

Our two sump pumps did not operate in a recent power outage. We want to install two battery-powered backup pumps and possibly replacing the existing pumps. They are in two separate pits in the basement. Please advise. Many thanks
Loewen Court in Rye
Yesterday's storm allowed a lot of water to enter the basement from a window well. I can see a drain in there but I have no idea where that drain goes and if it's the cause of the basement flooding.
Park Ave in Rye
We have lived in this house for 3 years now, and unfortunately have had a handful of water issues in our basement. The most recent of which happened today (July 17) after this afternoon's rainstorm. It appears there is a gap between the roof and the gutter above two basement window wells - and water seemed between the roof and the gutter, dripped down into the window well, filled up the window well, and ultimately came into the basement through the window. There are 6 window wells on 3 separate sides of the house - thankfully only 2 of the 6 on 1 side of the house had this issue. The prior water issue that we experienced in the spring of 2017 was a broken sump pump located in an external water well which serves as the outlet for the foundation french drain (as I understand it). The external water well flooded above where the pump should have kicked on, but it instead broke, and then water backed up into the basement. We have since fixed that issue (or tried to) by replacing both the main and backup sump pumps, and installing separate circuit breakers to each to ensure that if the main pump fails, the backup pump is still operational (in original setup, the broken main pump tripped the breaker to both, taking backup pump offline). I took a picture of the ground beneath the roof / gutter seam which appears to have a gap if helpful to send via email. I look forward to your thoughts and am interested in permanently solving our basement water issues ASAP> Thanks

Manursing Ave in Rye
Looking into water proofing our crawl space and finishing the basement.
Ridgewood Drive in Rye
We have some mold (green and black) on outside back stairwell, All external for now, We have the trench around Basement perimeter including in the well at bottom of exterior stairs. I'd like to use some mold cleaner ("spray and forget" or "mold armor") to clean/ rinse the mold away. BUT, I am concerned about introducing the mold into the house (via the CT Basement trench and pump system). Realistically, rain water would have already crossed mold and traveled through the system. What do you recommend. Please call me to advise or set up an appointment.
