Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation - Stonington, CT
A homeowner in Stonington, CT expressed concerns about his crawl space following the discovery of moisture near his pre-existing sump pump. In need of a solution, he reached out to Sales Representative Bret Citrin of Connecticut Basement Systems to schedule a free in-home consultation.
Upon Citrin's arrival at the home, a discussion commenced regarding potential solutions the homeowner could install to mitigate his concerns. The homeowner expressed interest in Citrin's proposal, with work commencing shortly after.
Ultimately, Foreman Luis Alas and his team installed three systems: CleanSpace vapor barrier, SuperSump Plus sump pump, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. Working in tandem to seal off the space against moisture, these systems offer maximum protection against crawl space moisture. Following the install, the homeowner was thrilled with the results!
Pre-Install
Prior to the install, old fiberglass insulation hung unevenly from the ceiling, similar to the uneven plastic vapor barrier lining the floor. Unfortunately, this combination offers minimal protection against moisture.
Old Sump Pump & Moisture
A sign of an inadequate sump pump, moisture has creeped around the perimeter of the sump pump. Left untreated, moisture can cause issues in a crawl space such as rot and mold.
Post-Install: CleanSpace Installed
Installed within the perimeter of this crawl space is our CleanSpace vapor barrier, which helps seal off the floor and walls from unwanted moisture.
