A homeowner from Guilford, CT was dealing with the issue of water in their basement due to heavy rains, so they got in touch with us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a lasting solution. Salesman, Steve Machnicz, went to the home to assess the issues and propose our waterproofing system that would eliminate this problem.
Foreman, Noel, and his crew installed the proposed job. The major components of this project included our WaterGuard drainage system, CleanSpace vapor barrier, and SuperSump Plus sump pump.
With our products in place and working together as one system, this basement will now stay dry.
Before Our Waterproofing System
This was one area of the basement where our system would be installed.
Our Waterproofing System
This basement needed our WaterGuard drainage system which is below the new cement in the image. Then our SuperSump Plus sump pump takes the collected water from the drains and pumps it safely out of the home through a proper exterior discharge line.
CleanSpace and WaterGuard
Our CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed on half of the wall and tucked into the drains to help direct water seepage into the drains below. Here you can also see how the WaterGuard is around the perimeter of the basement.
