The homeowners in this Ridgefield, CT home had a continuing water problem in their basement. They had water not only coming in through the walls but also the floors of the area. The homeowners needed a fix to their growing problem. They contacted the experts here at Connecticut Basement Systems to get the job done.  We showed up and knew exactly what we needed to do to get the job done. We just out the bottom half of the walls that were damaged to expose the cement. We then installed our WaterGuard french drain systems which catches any water coming in from the walls and the ground. The unique design sits on top of the foundation footing which prevents it from clogging. The water is then drained into our TripleSafe sump pump which has a total of three pumps. The first pump turns on when water comes in and pumps out 2,220 gallons of water per hour. If the first pump can not handle the amount of water then the second pump turns on and pumps an additional 3,900 gallons of water per hour. If for some reason the power goes out then an alarm will sound and the battery backed up third pump will turn on and pump out 11,500 gallons of water. The homeowners lastly wanted any moisture in the air taken care of so we installed our SaniDry dehumidifier and air purifier. The system is able to pump out 110 pints of water per day and has a Merv 11 filter which allows it to take out particles in the air as small as 2 microns.  The homeowners know now that their basement will never take on water and the air will be remarkably drier.
