CTBS Volunteers Help Raise $50,000 for Non profit through Men Who Cook

Men Who Cook Fundraiser in AnsoniaThe second annual "Men Who Cook" event was held March 21 at Warsaw Park, Ansonia, and was a great success. Around 50 volunteers cooked dinner to raise money for TEAM, Inc., which is a nonprofit organization helping low-income families become self sufficient through financial assistance, training and supportive services. They raised $37,000 from the event selling around 550 tickets and 160 cookbooks.

Men Who Cook Fundraiser in AnsoniaFor a $50 donation, guests were treated to a home-cooked meal as well as a raffle, silent auction, DJ, dancing, and more.

Men Who Cook Fundraiser in AnsoniaStaff members here at Basement Systems helped out with cooking along with a number of local officials such as police officers, firefighters, lawyers, doctors, Ansonia Mayor James Della Volpe, Derby Mayor Tony Staffieri, and State Representative Jason Perillo.

A great time was had by all who attended. It was a great way for so many people to get together and help their community! Volunteers from the Valley and the greater Bridgeport area loaned their time for this great cause.
